 n and grief.”\n\nBeth Alves\, a professor at Connecticut State\nCommunit
 y College Quinebaug Valley\, shares\nfeedback she gathered about communica
 tion when it\ncomes to conversations about estate planning\, death\nand gr
 ief (with the main focus on grief).\nShe decided to undertake a project on
 \nsuccesses and challenges related to such\nconversations after the unexpe
 cted death of her\nhusband in 2022.\nWhat she learned through interviews a
 nd\nsurvey questions helped her create a unit for her\n“Interpersonal Co
 mmunications” class about how\npeople communicate (or struggle to commun
 icate)\nwhen it comes to the most difficult of topics.\nIf you find it cha
 llenging to talk with someone\nwhose friend\, coworker\, loved one has die
 d\, the\npresentation will include the advice she received on\nways to com
 municate with those who are grieving.
