  Alves\, a professor at CT State\nCommunity College Quinebaug Valley\, wil
 l share\nfeedback she gathered about communication when it\ncomes to conve
 rsations about estate planning\, death\nand grief (with the main focus on 
 grief)\, a project she\nundertook on successes and challenges related to\n
 such conversations after the unexpected death of her\nhusband in 2022.\nWh
 at she learned through interviews and\nsurvey questions helped her create 
 a unit for her\nInterpersonal Communications class about how\npeople commu
 nicate (or struggle to communicate)\nwhen it comes to the most difficult o
 f topics.\nFor those who find it challenging to talk with\nsomeone whose f
 riend\, coworker\, or loved one has\ndied\, the presentation will include 
 the advice she\nreceived on ways to communicate with those who are\ngrievi
 ng.\n\n&nbsp\;
