×Come worship with us!  Services are at 10 AM on Sunday in person or available through a virtual live stream.

The Executive Committee has adopted the recommendation proposed by the church’s Covid Task Force.

The group provides these recommendations first, and most importantly, out of our concern for the health of all church members, including those of all ages, those with pre-existing medical conditions, and various vaccination states.  Although omicron appears to be less impactful to vaccinated people, it still represents real risk to those who are unvaccinated or may be living with people with medical conditions.  With that in mind, our group’s consensus is the current infection positivity rate is too high to feel comfortable with church groups in enclosed indoor spaces at this time.  Current data and trends indicate to us there will not be substantial change in this situation before the end of January.

Worship Service Recommendation

  • Continue remote-only services through January 30th.

Church Group Gatherings

  • No in-person church-sponsored group meetings inside through January 30th.
  • Committee meetings to be held virtually (by Zoom, Microsoft Teams, etc.)
  • No choir rehearsals
  • No youth group meetings or activities
  • No drive-through cafe in January
  • Evaluate Thrift Store operation at end of January (currently closed)

Outside Group Gatherings

  • With our focus on church member health, we recommend outside groups be provided discretion about meeting.  This is in line with our commitment to provide them space.  This includes:

o    AA

o    Boy Scouts

o    Nursery School

  • Provide AA and Boy Scouts with reminders about disinfecting chairs/surfaces after use
  • Allow Nursery School to operate within their specific state guidelines.

Staff & Support

  • Church staff allowed to use their office spaces.  Use masks if in same room with another person.
  • Positions that require individual access for their function (e.g. treasurer, media setup) may continue to use the building.  Use masks if in same room with another person.
  • The media team and individuals responsible for maintaining the physical building are allowed to use the building while wearing masks as required.

The Covid Task Force will meet again on Thursday, 1/27, to assess current conditions and provide any revised recommendations that would go into effect for February
