In the Bible, Dorcas was a warm woman known for her charitable acts and good works. She is also referred to as Tabitha, which is an Aramaic name, associated with grace, beauty, and kindness.
The Dorcas Society of Marlborough Congregational Church
Organized in 1834 in the footsteps of the woman, Dorcas, our society strongly supports the missions activity of our church. Open to women of all ages, the group provides service that strengthens the church and greater community through outreach and education.
Dorcas Women's Fellowship
On the 2nd Friday of the month from noon – 2pm, The Dorcas Society holds monthly luncheons in the lounge. This time provides an opportunity for fellowship outside the Sunday worship service. In addition to discussing service activities, speakers are invited each month to enrich our minds on inspiring and informative subjects.
All women of the church are welcome.
