Please read: Isaiah 6: 1-13
Isaiah had a moment that defined the rest of his life There are moments for all us that divide time; what was before is changed and is no more.
- When have you had an occasion when something happened, personally, globally, which caused you to know your life would never be the same?
- In verse 1 the writer describes “the hem” of God’s robe filling the Temple. What imagery does this bring up for you?
- There is language of parables in the later verses (v.10) of this passage “make the heart of the people calloused; make their ears dull and close their eyes” Jesus also uses this passage in Matthew 13:13-17, how do they differ?
- Isaiah’s encounter with God would have been personal and private. Why does the prophet, and those who passed down these words telling us about it?
