Marlborough Sings! June 6th, 7 pm!

Come as a stranger, leave as a friend

Pastoral Ponderings – June 2025

Let the children come to me
Matthew 19:14

As we come into Spring and early Summer, I am filled with joy over the many ways the Holy Spirit is moving in our Congregation.   Our church will be celebrating five baptisms in June and July!

Welcoming our children (and their families) into our family of faith through the waters of baptism is a blessing.   The sacred act of baptism is more than tradition, it is an affirmation of God’s love, an affirmation of our churches welcome and an affirmation of the commitment we make as a community to nurture each person of faith.

All of our church members and friends are invited to be present to support these young families, and their little ones.

You do not have to attend each baptism (but why not?) to participate. We can participate by praying for these young families as they commit to making a space for their children at Christ’s table.

Every baptism is a Holy Spark, a reminder that “God is Still Speaking”. A reminder that God is doing a new thing in our midst. We know God is present because the simple ceremony of baptism often causes our eyes to leak unexpectedly.

I hope you are all able to give yourselves the gift of being part of these very special days.

Summer Blessings To You All!
Pastor Val
